SEATING - SHORT HAUL



CHECK-IN

The check-in desk will be open at least 3 hours prior to departure. Representatives for the airline will be available at check-in before the flight departs, to deal with any queries. Passengers must check in at least 2.5 hours prior to departure.

Security regulations require all passengers to be present for check-in. Tickets must show the correct name and this must match the name in the holder's passport.

Once through passport control and into the departure lounge, passengers must arrive at the departure gate no later than 25 minutes prior to departure, failure to do so will result in baggage being offloaded and refusal of travel.


EXTRA LEGROOM

XL Airways is pleased to be able to offer its passengers the opportunity to pre-book extra legroom seating from a limited number available on our aircraft.

  • These can be reserved for you on both your outward and inbound flights for only £37.00 per person on all shorthaul flights.

  • These seats may be adjacent to the emergency exit rows and to comply with both XL Airways policy and the requirements of the Civil Aviation Authority, you will need to demonstrate an adequate degree of strength, dexterity and mobility, and be aged 16 or over, without hearing or sight impairment.

  • Should either our cabin staff or ground staff consider that you are unsuitable for these seats, we will ensure that alternative seating is allocated. In this unlikely event, please contact our Pre-flight department on your return and we will arrange a full refund.

  • PRE-BOOKABLE SEATING

    XL Airways is pleased to offer our passengers the option to pre-book group seating on all XL Airways flights. Seats can be reserved for passengers on both your outward and inbound flights for only £17.00 per adult / £8 per child.
    NOTE: These prices only apply at time of booking on the website as prices are higher if booked through pre-flight at a later date.

  • This service ensures that reserved parties will be seated together on the aircraft, your specific seat number will be issued to you at check-in.

  • Whilst we will do our utmost to sit parties together side by side, in some circumstances seats together could be directly behind each other or either side of the aisle.

  • SEAT REQUESTS

    We are happy to pre-allocate seats for the following reason:

  • Passengers with disabilities or medical conditions, or those requiring special assistance. A doctor's certificate confirming the medical condition/disability is usually required.


  • Unless pre-arranged through the Pre-flight department (on 08701677747 or by using our contact us page http://www.xl.com/Feedback/fb_Feedback.asp) or the tour operator, seating is allocated on a first come first served basis at check-in. As with all special requests pre-seating for the above special needs cannot be 100% guaranteed.
